Half Term Ski Holidays

With the start of the half term skiing holidays we were over in France this week as thousands of ski holiday makers descended on to the slopes for the private schools ski half term holidays. Later this week snow has been forecasted but currently many ski resorts have had little snow since early January.

At this point you would be forgiven for thinking that there will be little snow therefore for the half term skiing holiday but judging by yesterday and the video attached to this blog, it certainly wasn't our experience. As you will see below, the slopes were lit up with bright sunshine and the mountains framed with blue skies, but more importantly the piste were in pretty much perfect condition.

Yes there was the occasional icy patch, but these were few and far between and based on the snow and weather reports, we were pleasantly surprised at how good the snow is. So if you are about to come out next week (public schools and some private schools holidays) on your ski half term holiday, on our experience, if you have been watching the ski and snow reports, you are probably going to be very pleasantly surprised.

Happy half term skiing!
