For exclusivity, the Parisians head in February to Megeve, and with its beautiful pistes and stunning mountain restaurants we certainly know why, but for the perfect getaway for that je nais c'est quoi, why not try Chatel in the Portes du Soleil where there is still very much a taste of France.

In Switzerland, we are spoilt again for choice. Davos Klosters is in our opinion is the most exclusive luxury ski resort for families, anywhere in the world. Great family skiing, with class and sophistication, not to mention stunning mountain scenery, in abundance. Then there is Cranss montana, eclipsed however by Zermatt and its traffic free streets, high altitude skiing, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. Amazing skiing, whether on or off the piste, a charming village, and a nightlife that few can compete with for its atmosphere and style.

In Austria, we have the perfect choice, St Anton for not only world class skiing, but probably the best nightlife in any of the luxury ski resorts mentioned, and those we missed.

And last but by far not least, Park City in North America, where Stateside really can compete on the Apres-Ski front, and has few matched on the slopes. Here you can mix with the A list celebrities, assuming you are not too busy cruising its infinite powder.
